Name: Tanmay Joshi Occupation: Student Age: 22 years Highest weight recorded: 130 kgs Weight lost: 55 kgs Duration it took to lose weight: 2 years The turning point: I was really frustrated with all the negative comments and taunts coming my way because of my weight. People used to make all sort of sarcastic remarks and constantly tease me. I was extremely tired of hearing, “You are fat!” all the time. Additionally, I started suffering from various kinds of ailments, which led to the ultimate decision of losing weight. My Breakfast: 1 bowl of oats and egg whites. My Lunch: I have 2 chapatis, some vegetables, 1 bowl of sprouts, 1 bowl of curd, 1 bowl of daal and some salad. My Dinner: Same as mentioned above. I indulge in: I love gorging on tandoori chicken and anything which has paneer in it. My workout: In total, I workout for two hours every day. The breakup of my workout regime is as follows:
1. ½ hour cardio
2. 1 hour of full body workout
3. ½ hour for warming up Low calories recipes I swear by: Sprouts chaat is really healthy and extremely delicious. Fitness secret I unveiled: I figured out that consuming boiled water and black coffee can help you cut down your fat tremendously. How do I stay motivated? My weight loss quest has completely changed my perspective about life and food in general. I have made myself mentally strong, so as to, not focus on food. How do you ensure you don't lose focus? There are two things that ensured I stayed right on the fitness path:
1. I set new fitness goals for myself every day
2. I want to better my workout regime with every passing day What's the most difficult part of being overweight? Without a shred of doubt, the worst part about being overweight is the unsolicited comments and mocking stares that come your way. You are judged for your weight and how it impacts your overall appearance.

What shape do you see yourself 10 years down the line? I really don't have a vision in mind. I just want to be fit and healthy.

What are the lifestyle changes you made? I completely cut down fat and sugar from my diet. I also included a lot of fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains in my diet.

What was the lowest point for you? There were quite a few hurdles. For starters, I was suffering from extreme back and knee pain which made working out really difficult. Additionally, I was always low on energy because of which I was not able to take my workouts to the next level.

Lesson learn from weight loss: I have realised that you can do wonders to your body if you have the patience to think before eating.
