The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has pledged commitment to use its parliamentary majority victory in the December 7 general elections responsibly.

The NDC has assured to drive Ghana’s progress and prosperity.

The NDC General Secretary, Fifi Kwetey made the statement while addressing a press conference on Sunday.

The former Ketu South Member of Parliament stated that, the party remains focused on serving the nation responsibly, with its newly secured mandate.

Mr Kwetey also urged the Electoral Commission (EC) and its Chairperson, Jean Mensa, not to unnecessarily delay the declaration of results.

“We have secured a very significant majority and a majority that we aim to use responsibly and for the progress of the people of Ghana.

“The process as far as the presidential result is also concerned, we will urge the chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa and her team to make sure the declaration is not unduly delayed because we know for a fact that nothing can be done about it because it is already in the bag,” he said.
