The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition has assured Ghanaians that the country's current power generation capacity is sufficient to meet peak demand.

In a statement, the Ministry dismissed calls by the Minority in Parliament for a load management schedule, citing no justification for such a measure.

The Ministry acknowledged inherited challenges in the electricity distribution system but emphasized ongoing efforts to address these issues.

Richmond Rockson, Head of Communication, urged the public to remain confident in the government's commitment to ensuring a stable and reliable power supply.

This assurance comes after the Minority's press conference on May 19, where they advocated for a public load-shedding timetable.
