Head coach of the Black Stars, Milovan Rajevac has disclosed that his team has no positive COVID-19 cases after a PCR test was conducted on Saturday.

Ghana arrived in Cameroon on the evening of Saturday 8th January,2022 after about a two week training camp in Doha-Qatar.

The team touched down with a 25 man squad with most of them scattered across the globe with a five man local contingent but luckily enough after the PCR test all players returned a negative results.

Even before the tournament starts, there has been a lot of COVID-19 positive tests results with Burkina Faso having a lot of their first team players affected whiles other countries like Egyp, Gabon all had COVID-19 positive cases.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of Ghana's opening match against Morocco on Monday, the Serbian gaffer revealed that Ghana has a clean bill of health with regard to COVID-19.

"Yes Covid-19 is very serious and has worried some teams but Ghana did our PCR test yesterday and fortunately everyone is okay. We don't have a problem with covid".

Ghana will be looking forward to end the 40 year wait for an African Cup of Nations title after several attempts.
