The Light House Chapel Congregation of East Legon, last night celebrated what the Church described as the "historic" presence of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
The Vice President, accompanied by his wife, Samira and some officials, was a guest of the Church's at its 31st Night Service at its newly built auditorium at East Legon.
Led by its Founder and Leader, Bishop Dag Heward Mills, the Congregation gave Dr. Bawumia a rapturous reception.
Welcoming Dr. Bawumia, Bishop Heward Mills expressed excitement, saying Dr. Bawumia presence marked the first time a such a high-profile personality had visited the Congregation.
"I am happy to announce the presence of the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his wife," Bishop Dag Heward Mills said, amidst cheers by the crowd.
"I am so happy because this is the first time we are having a President or a Vice President. What a blessing," Bishop Heward Mills added.
Dr. Bawumia later addressed the Congregation, wished them a blessed New Year, and also thanked God for "what he has done for me and the country Ghana."
