The Communication Director and deputy general secretary of Ghana Football Association Ibrahim Sanni Daara says the Youth and Sports minister Hon Nii Lantey has been raining verbal attacks and insults on the Ghana football Association since he assumed office.

Speaking on Accra based radio station "Asempa Fm" the former BBC Sport journalist said;

"Since the minister assumed office, and even before taking over the ministries, he started insulting the Ghana Football Association from day one, calling the association as "Cow dung", but we didn't respond to him.

"We kept a respectful quiet not to reply the minister. But he kept on speaking on issues he don't understand about the GFA. Trying to tarnish the hard won rotation of the GhanaFA.

"He always sit on radio and speak ill about the GFA; every day this, everyday that with a new and troubling thought" Sanni Added.

The Deputy general secretary of GFA continues to explain why the association is ready to reply the Minister.

"The association have to refute the minister's thought,a lot of things he says is not grounded with facts and are not true."

"If the minister is from zongo,am also from zongo and he knows one key thing is a person from zongo don't lie and will tell you the truth, the minister knows me and I know him very well."

"We have tried everything possible to settle any differences but anytime he gets opportunity he attacks the GFA that they are not transparent. Meanwhile you have not given anything to the FA and don't work at the GFA. The GFA is not accountable to him because he has not given anything to the association to account for."he asserted

"We have complained about his public utterances as a sector minister. At least he should rather support the FA and has the opportunity to speak to the FA if things are wrong. A minister don't talk that way." Sanni Said.

The communication Director continues to defend the association.

"The fact that am defending the GFA in public means I will not allow anybody to lie against the football Association regardless who you are."
