A woman identified as Amina Issah has been exposed after allegedly fabricating a story during a live appearance on Oyerepa Afutuo hosted by Auntie Naa on Oyerepa TV.

According to information from the programme, Amina appeared on the show claiming that her husband had died in a car accident, leaving her as a struggling single mother.

She told the host and panel that she had saved GH¢10,000 and handed it over to someone to help her purchase a fufu pounding machine, but the individual allegedly disappeared with the money.

To support her claim, she reportedly shared a photograph of a man she accused of taking the money and absconding.

However, during questioning on the programme, it later emerged that the entire story had been fabricated.

Further checks revealed that the man whose photo she had shared was an innocent person, whose picture she had reportedly taken from his WhatsApp status and falsely presented as the alleged fraudster.

It also came to light that her husband was alive, contradicting her earlier claim that he had died in an accident.

When confronted with the inconsistencies, Amina reportedly changed her explanation, stating that she had taken a loan from Bills Microcredit and was struggling to repay it, which led her to invent the story in an attempt to gain sympathy and possibly financial assistance.

The incident has since sparked strong reactions on social media, with many viewers criticising the act and calling for caution when sharing unverified claims on public platforms.
