Ghanaian midfielder Yaw Paintsil played a crucial role in Tromso's thrilling 4-3 victory over Viking in the Norwegian top-flight.

Paintsil came on as a substitute in the 86th minute and made a significant impact by scoring the match-winning goal during stoppage time.

The first half of the game ended goalless, with both teams struggling to find the back of the net. However, the second half produced an astonishing seven goals in the highly anticipated match.

Norwegian striker Vegard Erlien netted twice in the space of two minutes to give Tromso the lead at the SR-Bank Arena in Stavanger. Viking managed to pull one back through Patrick Yazbek in the 63rd minute.

Sondre Auklend then leveled the score for Viking in the 79th minute, and Lars-Jørgen Salvesen put the home team ahead in the 85th minute. However, Tromso staged a late comeback with two goals to deny Viking a crucial victory.

Tromso equalized in the 89th minute through Niklas Vesterlund, and Ghanaian midfielder Yaw Paintsil sealed the victory by finding the back of the net to secure all three points for the visitors.

Paintsil has been having a solid campaign with Tromso in the Norwegian Eliteserien this season, scoring five goals and providing one assist in 23 games so far.
