Ghanaian midfielder Yaw Yeboah has hailed the 2023 season as one of his best after achieving success with Major League Soccer (MLS) side Columbus Crew.
The talented player played a crucial role in Columbus Crew's triumph, contributing to the team's victory in both the MLS Cup and the Eastern Conference final.
Yeboah's standout moment came as he scored the decisive goal in the MLS Cup final, helping Columbus Crew secure their third MLS title.
Additionally, he played a key role in the Eastern Conference final, where the team staged an impressive comeback from two goals down to defeat city rivals FC Cincinnati at the TQL Park.
Reflecting on the season, Yeboah expressed his joy, stating, "For me [winning the two trophies] is amazing.
It's one of the best seasons I have ever had." He highlighted the significance of winning both trophies in a single week and emphasized the unique experience of achieving success with a prestigious club in the United States and on a global scale.
Yeboah, who made 37 appearances, scoring four goals and providing five assists during the 2023 campaign, has received well-deserved recognition.
His stellar performances have earned him an invitation to join the Ghana national team, the Black Stars, ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
