The Eastern Regional Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Jeff Konadu Addo has described former President, John Dramani Mahama as a hypocrite over his rescue mission agenda

Mr. Mahama speaking to party members in October this year said, he is on a mission to rescue Ghana from the abysmal performance of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

According to the former President, Ghanaians are “disillusioned” under the direction of the Akufo-Addo led government.

But Mr Jeff Konadu Addo, reacting to the issue some two months back said, he does not see what the former President intends to rescue when given the mantle again.

"To be honest, he is being a hypocrite. He has consistently shown hypocrisy in his dealings. He goes on to say he is coming to rescue Ghanaians, on what area is he coming with his rescue plan" he rhetorically quizzed and demanded that the former President must come out clear with the areas he has in mind to rescue.

Speaking on local radio station in Koforidua, he affirmed that the former President and his NDC have nothing to rescue as he believes the Nana Akufo led government has performed creditably well beyond doubt.

He added that it is the NDC activists who claim there is hardship in the country and has attributed to not have any active business or employment where they can make money for themselves.

He called on the electorates to give President Akufo-Addo another term to complement his effort as he believes the macroeconomy is set and is poised to descend on the micro.

Jeff Konadu opined that the NPP means business whenever voted into office and that, anyone who is not a visionary person cannot see the good work of the President.
