Controversial musician and media personality, Blakk Rasta, has expressed his disappointment with Kennedy Agyapong for endorsing the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Rasta recalled Agyapong's assurance that he would not support the vice president due to certain unresolved issues, making the current situation baffling.
Rasta believes that Agyapong's choice to openly support Bawumia in the run-up to the 2024 general elections could be detrimental to his political future, given the current dynamics within the party.
Speaking on the UrbanBlend show on 3FM, Blakk Rasta criticized those who encouraged Agyapong to back Bawumia, calling it a misguided move with potentially adverse future repercussions.
“Kennedy Agyapong is not a serious guy. He is a liar and a joker. In the run-up to the presidential campaigns in the NPP, he said Bawumia had nothing to offer. I met Kennedy Agyapong personally, and he told me, ‘Never would I campaign for Bawumia.’
"What has changed? Do you respect your audience and your fans enough to return to them? I am so disappointed by Kennedy. Whoever is advising him has advised him wrongly. He's killing his own political career. I'm glad I have lived long enough to see the real Kennedy Agyapong,” he said.
These comments were made after Kennedy Agyapong was spotted campaigning for the vice president during the NPP Ashanti Regional campaign tour.
Also, some sections of the public expressed surprise at the MP's decision to support Bawumia despite their previous differences.
