Ofori-Atta will answer questions remotely – Wife assures

Professor Mrs Angela Ofori-Atta, wife of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, has assured the public that her husband is fully committed to cooperating with the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) amid ongoing investigations into allegations of corruption and financial misconduct.
In an interview with Joy News on Monday, June 16, 2025, Prof Ofori-Atta dismissed claims that her husband is attempting to delay or obstruct the investigation.
She explained that although he is currently recovering from prostate cancer surgery in the United States, he is ready to respond to the OSP’s inquiries through appropriate virtual means.
“The questions, he can answer them in a week or two. Send him the questions through his lawyers—he can answer. Set up a video meeting, and he will be able to answer,” she said. “He will not do anything to interfere or prolong the investigation,” she said.
Her comments come amid heightened public interest in the case, which has drawn national attention following the issuance of an INTERPOL Red Notice and accusations involving alleged abuse of office, financial mismanagement, and offshore dealings during Mr Ofori-Atta’s tenure from 2017 to 2024.
The former finance minister underwent a successful robotic-assisted prostate cancer surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.
According to his wife, he remains under strict medical supervision and is focused on recovery while remaining available to participate in the legal process remotely.
