Real Madrid eye Ghana talented midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi

Real Madrid are reportedly exploring a move for Ghana international Caleb Yirenkyi, with former midfielder Michael Essien said to have been consulted as the Spanish giants assess the FC Nordsjælland star.
According to Danish outlet Tipsbladet, Real Madrid have shown growing interest in the highly-rated midfielder and have sought references from Essien, who enjoyed a successful spell at the Santiago Bernabéu between 2012 and 2013.
The reported interest comes amid speculation linking José Mourinho with a potential return to the club. Essien, who worked closely with Mourinho at both Chelsea and Real Madrid, is understood to remain a respected figure within football circles, making his assessment of Yirenkyi particularly valuable.
Yirenkyi, who is valued at around €30 million, has emerged as one of Ghana’s most promising midfield talents following a series of impressive performances for FC Nordsjælland in Denmark.
The 19-year-old is currently representing Ghana at the FIFA World Cup, where scouts from several top European clubs will be monitoring his progress. Strong displays on the global stage could further boost his reputation and strengthen the possibility of a high-profile transfer.
While no formal offer has been reported, Real Madrid’s interest highlights the club’s continued focus on recruiting young talents capable of becoming future stars at the Bernabéu.
For Yirenkyi, a move to the 15-time European champions would represent a major step in a rapidly rising career and another significant milestone for Ghanaian football on the international stage.
