Ghana move one step up in the latest Coca Cola FIFA World Rankings

The Black Stars of Ghana have inched one step higher in the latest Coca-Cola FIFA World Rankings, moving from 76th to 75th in the world after the September international break.
The four-time African champions played two games during the window, drawing with Chad before edging Mali 1-0 in Accra in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The positive results ensured Ghana maintained momentum in their bid to return to the global stage, while also boosting their standing on the continental chart.
Currently, Ghana is ranked:
75th globally
14th in Africa
The next FIFA ranking update is scheduled for October 23, 2025, by which time the Black Stars could further improve their position depending on results in the final round of qualifiers against the Central African Republic and Comoros.

With the October international window drawing closer, Ghana will be eager to climb higher up the rankings and boost their seeding with the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers after missing out on the 2025 African Cup of Nations which is set to kick off in December 2025 in Morocco.
