Berekum Chelsea set to part ways with Samuel Boadu after Premier League campaign

Berekum Chelsea are expected to part ways with head coach Samuel Boadu at the end of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, despite the club securing a top-half finish.
Sources close to the club say discussions are already underway to identify a new manager as the Blues begin preparations for the next campaign.
Boadu guided Berekum Chelsea to sixth place in the league standings with 50 points, a campaign that ensured the club comfortably retained its place in Ghana’s top flight after several inconsistent seasons.
The former Hearts of Oak coach arrived with the ambition of restoring Chelsea’s status among the leading sides in Ghanaian football. Although the team showed signs of improvement throughout the season, it appears the club’s hierarchy is ready to move in a different direction ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Club insiders indicate that management have already started behind-the-scenes talks over possible replacements, with restructuring plans expected to continue in the coming weeks.
At 40, Boadu remains one of the most decorated young coaches in Ghanaian football. During his successful spell with Hearts of Oak, he won multiple domestic trophies, including the Ghana Premier League title and the FA Cup.
An official announcement regarding his expected departure is anticipated in the coming days.
