Enoch Morrison sweeps top Kenyan League awards after title-winning season

Ghanaian midfielder Enoch Morrison has capped off a stellar season in Kenya by winning the Kenyan Premier League’s Most Valuable Player and Midfielder of the Season awards.
The double honour follows an impressive campaign in which Morrison played a pivotal role in helping Gor Mahia secure the league title.
The 25-year-old was one of the club’s standout performers throughout the season, producing a series of commanding displays in midfield as Gor Mahia maintained their dominance in Kenyan football.
His consistency, work rate and creativity were instrumental in driving the team to the top of the table, helping the record champions clinch their 22nd Kenyan Premier League crown.
Gor Mahia finished the campaign with 68 points, comfortably securing the title and reinforcing their status as the most successful club in the country’s football history.
Morrison’s achievements were part of a memorable season for the club, which also saw Ghanaian coach Charles Akonnor receive the Coach of the Season award.
Akonnor’s leadership proved decisive as he guided Gor Mahia through a successful campaign that culminated in domestic glory and qualification for continental competition.
The recognition for both Morrison and Akonnor highlights the growing impact of Ghanaian talent in East African football and underlines Gor Mahia’s dominance during the 2025-26 season.
For Morrison, the individual accolades serve as fitting reward for a campaign in which he established himself as one of the league’s most influential players and a key figure in Gor Mahia’s latest title triumph.
