England are through to the quarter-finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after a dramatic 3-2 win over hosts Mexico.
Jude Bellingham scored twice in the first half to put England in control, before Harry Kane converted a penalty shortly after the break. Mexico refused to fade, however, with Julián Quiñones scoring in the 42 minute and Raúl Jiménez from the spot in the 69 minute pulling the hosts back into contention.
Mexico pushed for a late equaliser in front of a passionate home crowd, but England held firm through a tense closing spell to secure their place in the last eight.
The win sets up a quarter-final against Norway, whose attack will be led by striker Erling Haaland.
