Dreams FC head coach Winfred Dormon has praised his players for their commitment and work ethic after the opening week of pre-season training, saying the squad has made an encouraging start to preparations for the 2026/27 campaign.
Speaking to Dreams FC Media, Dormon described the atmosphere within the camp as “very positive and commendable”, expressing satisfaction with the players’ attitude as they continue to build towards the new Ghana Premier League season.
The Dreams FC coach believes the early stages of pre-season are vital in laying the foundation for a successful campaign, with the technical team focusing on improving the players’ fitness levels while sharpening their tactical awareness and overall style of play.
“We’ve had a very positive and commendable response from the players,” Dormon said, highlighting the squad’s determination to meet the physical and tactical demands of the programme.
Dormon also underlined the importance of the upcoming Top Four tournament, which he believes will provide a valuable test ahead of the new season. The competition is expected to give the coaching staff a clearer picture of the team’s readiness as Dreams FC prepare for both the Ghana Premier League and FA Cup campaigns.
The tournament will allow the technical team to assess individual performances, experiment with tactical approaches and identify areas requiring further improvement before competitive football returns.
Although pre-season sessions have been physically demanding, Dormon says the players have embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, praising their professionalism, commitment and desire to improve.
With preparations gathering momentum, Dreams FC will be hoping their encouraging start on the training ground translates into strong performances when the 2026/27 season gets underway.
