Three Fires Recorded at Ogbojo, Circle and Teshie in One Day

Firefighters responded to three separate fire incidents recorded at Ogbojo, the Circle Roundabout and along the Teshie Bush Road in the Greater Accra Region on Sunday, August 9, 2026.

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) reported that an abandoned trailer and its contents were completely destroyed by fire at Ogbojo.

The flames also posed a threat to two buses parked close to the burning trailer. Firefighters who arrived at the scene managed to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to the buses.

The cause of the fire has not yet been established.

At the Circle Roundabout, firefighters dealt with a separate incident involving burning refuse. The blaze was brought under control before it could spread to nearby properties, with no casualties or property damage recorded.

Another incident occurred along Teshie Bush Road, where a vehicle caught fire. Personnel from the Trade Fair Fire Station responded promptly and succeeded in extinguishing the blaze.

However, the fire destroyed the vehicle’s bonnet, engine compartment and bumper. No injuries or deaths were reported.

The GNFS said the three incidents occurred at different locations and were handled as separate emergencies. Investigations are ongoing to determine the causes of the fires.
