Aikou and Flora guaranteed BBNaija Season 11 places as Biggie introduces new twist

Aikou and Flora have been confirmed as the Gambits for Big Brother Naija Season 11 after attracting the highest number of votes from viewers.

The announcement was made by host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu during Sunday’s live show, ending several days of anticipation over which two housemates would be selected for the new role.

The Gambit concept is a new feature introduced for Season 11. It guarantees the two chosen housemates a place in the Big Brother Naija house until the final day of the competition.

However, while Aikou and Flora will remain involved in tasks and other activities throughout the season, they will not be eligible to compete for the grand prize. Their position therefore offers security from eviction but removes them from contention for the competition’s main reward.

Sunday’s live show also brought an end to the Ladies-versus-Gentlemen format that shaped the opening weeks of the season. The teams have now been formally disbanded, with the remaining housemates set to compete as individuals for the rest of the competition.

Biggie also revealed the theme of this week’s wager task, titled Game On. The housemates have been challenged to create a presentation that defines the identity of Season 11 and expresses what they believe this edition of Big Brother Naija should represent.

Their presentation must include several creative elements, including a logo, slogan, song, artwork and props. The housemates will also be expected to communicate how they want the season to be remembered.

Attention now turns to the second Head of House Challenge, which is scheduled to take place at 1 pm today. The housemates will compete for the opportunity to take control of the house and secure the advantages that come with the Head of House position.

The challenge will be followed by this week’s nomination show at 6 pm. During the nominations, viewers will discover which housemates are set to face the possibility of eviction.

With Aikou and Flora assured of remaining in the house until the final day, and the former group-based competition now replaced by individual contests, the race for the grand prize is entering a more intense phase.

The new format means every housemate must now compete on their own, while the introduction of the Gambits adds another layer to the season’s strategy. Aikou and Flora can take part in the house’s daily activities and challenges without facing elimination, although they cannot win the grand prize.
