Black stars goalkeeper coach Daniel Gaspar impressed by Hearts of Oak’s discipline

Black Stars goalkeepers’ trainer Daniel Gaspar has praised the organisation and intensity at Hearts of Oak after observing a live training session on Tuesday.
Gaspar, who is currently monitoring players ahead of the upcoming FIFA World Cup, visited the club’s training ground as part of his assessment duties. During the session, he held discussions with Benjamin Asare, with whom he is expected to work closely in preparation for the tournament.
Speaking after the session, Gaspar highlighted the structured environment at the club, noting that it reflects strong coaching standards and discipline among the players. He also called for recognition of the head coach’s role in shaping the team’s organisation and mentality.
Focusing on goalkeeping in particular, Gaspar commended the work of coach Issah Najahu, describing the session as progressive and well-executed.
“My speciality is goalkeeping, and I want to congratulate Coach Azaya for his session, the progression, the willingness, the capacity, and the capabilities of the goalkeepers. I love the attitude,” he said.
He added that mentality remains a crucial factor in performance, stating: “Good attitude, good things happen. Bad attitude, not so good things. I’m very impressed with his work.”
Hearts of Oak are continuing preparations for their Ghana Premier League fixture against Karela United on Wednesday, as attention also builds towards national team assignments later in the year.
