Ghana lost by an aggregate scoreline of 10-0 in their two friendly matches with Japan with the striker forced to isolate after arriving in Japan and testing positive for COVID-19.

Upon arriving in Japan at the Narita airport, the Ghana Premier League’s top scorer tested positive for COVID-19 after mandatory tests were carried out.

According to Black Meteors management committee chairman Frederick Acheampong in an interaction with the media, there were inconsistencies in the player’s COVID-19 test results of the player and so for safety reasons was asked to quarantine.

After tests was conducted, the player came out negative and has joined the rest of his teammates for the trip to South Korea on Wednesday.

Ghana will hope they can atone for the 10-0 humiliation against Japan by getting  positive results when they clash with South Korea in their two friendly matches.
