Eugene Arhin has allegedly been cheating on his wife with the same lady who video-recorded the National Security Minister, Hon Albert Kan Dapaah early last year.

This was after Mr Arhin, who is the Director of Communications at the Presidency, was dragged to the Matrimonial Division of the Accra High Court by his wife over claims of adultery.

The wife, Mrs Gloria Assan Arhin filed the divorce suit on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, demanding Two Million Ghana Cedis (GHC2,00,000) and other properties in settlement from her husband for engaging in extramarital affairs.

“That the Respondent has committed and keeps committing adultery, deserted the Petitioner and behaved unreasonable towards the Petitioner and by reason of the said treatment and conducts of the Respondent, the marriage has broken down beyond reconciliation and all attempts aimed at resolving the challenges have proven futile.” Portions of the statement of writ read.

According to Mrs Arhin, the “unreasonable behaviour” by Mr Arhin involves him abusing her “both physically and verbally at the slightest opportunity for over a year now”.

She also indicated that the adultery involves one Chantel Kudjawu and he “has a child of about a year old with another woman”.

Reacting to the lawsuit, however, an outspoken member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Yayra Koku, claimed Eugene Arhin's alleged side chick is the same lady who recorded Mr Kan Dapaa when the two were engaged in an adult conversation during a video call.

"So the lady Eugene Arhin is alleged to be cheating on is the same lady that recorded Hon Kan Dapaah....," he claimed on Facebook adding that "We will discuss this soon".

It has been one year since the National Security chief made the headlines for that controversial footage.
