Fredrick Asare, the goalkeeper for Asante Kotoko, has been named the winner of the Ghana National Goalkeepers Union Award for December.

The award recognizes his outstanding performances during the month.

Asare faced stiff competition for the award, with nominations including Obeng S. Gregory of Berekum Chelsea, Kofi Baah of FC Samartex 1996, and Kwame Aziz of Legon Cities. However, it was Asare's impressive contributions that secured him the accolade.

During December, Asare played a crucial role in helping Asante Kotoko maintain an unbeaten record.

He kept four clean sheets, contributing to four wins and one draw in five league matches. Notably, Asare conceded only two goals throughout the month.

The National Goalkeepers Union (NGU) will honor Asare with a set of gloves and a jersey as part of the award.

This recognition highlights Asare's exceptional goalkeeping skills and contributions to his team's success during the specified period.

The Ghana National Goalkeepers Union Award is a monthly acknowledgment of outstanding goalkeeping performances in the Ghanaian football league.

Asare's achievement adds to the list of notable players recognized for their excellence in the position.
