Ghana play down malaria concerns for Andre Ayew

Ghana officials have clarified Andre Ayew’s health status saying the talisman has not contracted malaria at the Africa Cup of Nations.
They argue that malaria would have sidelined him for one week and could not have played in Saturday’s match.
But the West Ham United star was passed fit and lasted the entire duration in the 1-0 win over Mali.
