Ghana Police recruitment: Medically cleared applicants told to await validation invites

Applicants who have completed the medical examination for Ghana Police Service’s 2025/2026 recruitment exercise but have not yet been invited for document validation remain eligible for consideration, the Service has said.

In a press statement issued on 1 August 2026, the Ghana Police Service said the recruitment exercise was being conducted in phases. Applicants who have successfully progressed through the process are being invited in batches to validation centres across the country.

The Service said the validation stage is designed to confirm the authenticity and accuracy of documents submitted by applicants during the initial phase of recruitment. These include academic certificates, examination results and other supporting documents.

The first group of successful applicants has already received invitations and is currently taking part in the validation exercise.

However, the Police Service said applicants who had been declared medically fit but had not yet received an invitation should not assume they had been excluded from the process.

It said: “all other applicants who successfully completed the medical examination and have been declared medically fit but have not been invited for validation are in the recruitment pool for consideration in subsequent batches.”

The statement added that the exercise would continue over a number of phases, with further applicants expected to be contacted as the recruitment schedule progresses.

“The recruitment process will continue in batches until 2028 in line with the recruitment schedule,” the Service said, while urging applicants to remain patient.

The clarification follows concern among some medically cleared candidates who had been waiting for information about the next stage of their applications. The Police Service did not announce a final decision on when each remaining applicant would be invited, but confirmed that those who had completed the medical examination successfully were still within the recruitment pool.

Applicants were also warned to be cautious about unverified claims relating to the exercise. The Ghana Police Service advised them not to give money to individuals who claim they can secure recruitment places or accelerate the process.

The Service said applicants should rely exclusively on official communication for updates about invitations, validation and other stages of the recruitment exercise.

The ongoing exercise is being managed through successive batches, with applicants called to centres across the country for checks on their submitted records. The medical examination and document validation form part of the wider recruitment process, which the Police Service said would remain in operation until 2028 according to its established schedule.

Applicants who have not yet been invited have therefore been encouraged to wait for further official instructions rather than respond to unofficial messages or approaches from people seeking payment.
