Ghanaian forward Jalal Abdullai delivered an outstanding performance in IF Elfsborg’s 3-1 win over Mjallby in the Swedish Allsvenskan on Sunday.

The 19-year-old netted twice, scoring in the 1st and 45th minutes, to help his team secure a crucial home victory at the Boras Arena.

Abdullai’s compatriot, Terry Yegbe, assisted the opening goal, demonstrating a strong Ghanaian connection on the field.

Despite Mjallby equalizing in the 27th minute through Elliot Stroud, Abdullai’s second goal restored Elfsborg’s lead just before halftime.

Sebastian Holmén added a third goal for the hosts in the 51st minute, ensuring a comfortable win.

Abdullai played 77 minutes, while Yegbe and another Ghanaian, Michael Baidoo, also contributed significantly, with Yegbe playing the full match and Baidoo clocking 77 minutes.

This impressive performance by Abdullai not only helped Elfsborg secure maximum points but also earned him recognition as one of the top performers in the Swedish league.

The former Inter Allies FC player has been in fine form this season, making 16 appearances across all competitions and scoring 7 goals.
