Kotoko set to host Berekum Chelsea in crucial clash at Baba Yara Sports Stadium

Former champions Asante Kotoko are gearing up to face Berekum Chelsea in what promises to be a crucial clash at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Monday.

The Blues enter the match on a three-game unbeaten run away from home, while Asante Kotoko secured their second consecutive win in the season against Legon Cities on Matchday 12.

Berekum Chelsea, currently occupying the 6th spot in the league table with 20 points, are unbeaten in their last five matches, boasting four wins and a draw.

Asante Kotoko, positioned 7th with 16 points, have recorded two wins and three losses in their last five league games.

Stephen Amankonah, with five goals in the league, is expected to lead the lines for Berekum Chelsea against his former side.

Asante Kotoko, on the other hand, is banking on the likes of Stephen Mukwala, Kalo Ouattara, Mohammed Sherif, Serge Zeze, and others.

The two sides have met three times at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium since the 2020/21 season, with Asante Kotoko winning two and losing one.

The intriguing clash will be broadcast live on StarTimes Adepa channel 247 at 5 pm on Monday, December 4, 2023.

In another Monday fixture, Accra Great Olympics will face Legon Cities at the WAFA Park at Sogakope.

Great Olympics, currently 8th in the league table with 16 points, are unbeaten at home and have recorded four wins and two draws.

Legon Cities, after five games without a win, sits in the 16th spot with 12 points.

The match promises to be a test for both teams as they aim to secure valuable points in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.
