The Ministry of Labour, Jobs and Employment has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Platinum Impact Limited, a leading recruitment agency, to strengthen Ghana’s Work Abroad initiative.

The partnership, formalised at a brief ceremony at the Ministry in Accra, is part of ongoing efforts to create legal and secure employment pathways for Ghanaian workers in foreign markets.

The strategic public-private collaboration aims to facilitate the scouting, vetting, and placement of qualified Ghanaian artisans and professionals in key sectors such as hospitality, agriculture, transportation, and construction.

Launched in March 2025, the Work Abroad initiative seeks to align the skills of Ghanaian workers with the needs of reputable international employers, while promoting safe and orderly migration.

Through partnerships with licensed recruitment agencies, the programme ensures workers’ rights are protected and migration processes are transparent and regulated.

Platinum Impact Limited, a Ghanaian-owned agency established in 2004, brings over two decades of experience in international recruitment and is known for its commitment to ethical hiring practices. The company has a strong track record of securing decent, well-paying jobs for Ghanaian workers in compliant foreign markets.

Under the new agreement, Platinum Impact Ltd will play a key role in processing candidates and coordinating with overseas employers, ensuring that all job placements meet international labour standards.

As part of the initiative, an online portal will be launched to screen and manage applicants. All recruiting companies will be required to sign formal agreements with both the destination country and Ghana to guarantee the protection and welfare of Ghanaian workers employed abroad.

The Ministry says this partnership marks a significant step forward in reducing unemployment, boosting skills export, and ensuring safe migration for Ghana’s labour force.
