Medeama beat Aduana to sign Emmanuel Annor from Nations

Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC have strengthened their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season with the signing of highly-rated winger Emmanuel Annor from Nations FC on a three-year deal.
The 25-year-old joins the Tarkwa-based club until 2029 after completing a move that is seen as one of the biggest domestic transfers of the window. Medeama fought off late interest from Aduana FC to secure the signature of one of the league’s most exciting attacking talents.
Annor arrives after another impressive campaign with Nations FC, where he established himself as one of the Ghana Premier League’s standout performers. Known for his pace, direct style of play, creativity and eye for goal, the former FA Cup winner is expected to play a key role as Medeama prepare to defend their league title and compete in the 2026/27 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League.
Head coach Ibrahim Tanko identified the winger as a priority signing as the club continues to strengthen its squad for the demands of both domestic and continental football.
In a statement, Medeama described Annor as one of the league’s most dangerous attacking players and said his arrival would add another dimension to the team’s attack.
Annor said joining Medeama was the fulfilment of a long-held ambition, revealing that the move had almost happened two years ago.
“I am incredibly happy to finally become a Medeama player,” he said.
“This move almost happened two years ago, so to finally be here is a dream fulfilled. I thank God, the management of Medeama and everyone who worked hard to make this transfer possible.”
The winger also expressed excitement about playing alongside the club’s emerging talents, including Kelvin Nkrumah, and promised supporters they would see the best version of him.
“I have admired what Medeama has built over the years, and I can’t wait to play alongside players like Kelvin Nkrumah,” Annor added.
“I believe together we can form one of the most exciting attacking partnerships in the league. The fans have seen Emmanuel Annor from a distance; now they will see an improved, more determined and more complete player wearing the Mauve and Yellow.”
The signing highlights Medeama’s determination to remain at the top of Ghanaian football while assembling a squad capable of making a strong impact in Africa’s premier club competition.
