Nana Addo to attend thanksgiving at Kyebi
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will on Sunday January 8, attend a public durbar at Kyebi, his hometown in the East Akim Municipality of the Eastern region as Ghana’s president.
The move is initiated by the Okyenhene, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin, to thank God for honouring Akufo-Addo, an Akyem-Abuakwa royal, with electoral victory in the December 7, 2016 presidential poll.
Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin has asked all his sub-chiefs to join the proposed ceremony to render thanksgiving to God and offer prayers for Akufo-Addo to serve the nation better in the next four years.
The Thanksgiving Service is being organized by the Okyehene Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panyin.
All the churches in Kyebi are expected to converge at the Durbar grounds tomorrow by 9am.
Some of the residents who spoke to Adom News’ Maxwell Kudekor expressed their excitement about the development.
