NDC government making last-minute appointments…selling off state assets- NPP cries foul
The incoming New Patriotic Party administration has cried foul over suspicion of hurried appointments which they claim is being pepertuated by the outgoing National Democratic Congress government to favour their foot soldiers.

According to the representative of the NPP transition team Yaw Osafo Marfo, the incoming government have course to believe that the National Democratic Congress is selling off the state and making appointments before leaving power.
He however emphasised that, he hoped the suspicions and information reaching the top hierarchy of the NPP is not true as it will be a herculean problem to the country.
“We do not want to believe that these allegations are true” he said.
He further revealed that there is also information of the NDC recruiting their party members and loyalists into security services amidst selling of national assets.
Another situation worth worrying about according to Mr Marfo is information being gathered that the outgoing government is also dishing out permanent civil and public positions to temporary NDC members be they qualified for those positions or not.

Speaking at a meeting between members of the outgoing government and incoming government, he claimed that he had heard these pieces of information ‘from the grapevine’
He also highlighted the need to be cautious and transparent so as to ensure a smooth handing over and effective management of situations at hand.
“We need to be cautious, We need to be transparent, We need to be candid and we need to be factual” he noted
He also called on the outgoing government to consult the incoming administration about any developments and be given the go ahead before any major decisions are made within the transition period.
“We are therefore appealing to our colleagues, if there is a need for an agreement to be concluded, it is only fair that you bring in the in-waiting government, discuss and get the green light to carry it out” he challenged
The NDC government will be handing over the mantle of governance to President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party on January 7.
