What profession are you pursuing? Do you feel pressurized? Or you are just okay with everything? Well, National Organiser for the governing New Patriotic Party, (NPP), Sammi Awuku, has lamented about growing health insecurity in politics.
According to him, becoming a politician can land one into having High Blood Pressure, also known as hypertension or BP.
Speaking on Peace FM's flagship morning show dubbed 'Kokrokoo' on Tuesday, Sammi Awuku said it was not an easy task becoming a politician.
He said especially during elections, the pressure, tension and movements alone can result in one being diagnosed with high blood pressure.
He said, "This politics, I tell you, you get into it without BP but you end up getting BP," he told host, Kwame Sefa Kayi.
Sammi Awuku professed that sometimes the pressure gets intense to the extent that one would not know what to do.
He revealed he is yet to fully relax and enjoy after the party's win in the 2020 general elections.
