Requiem mass held for Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings

The family of the late former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, held a solemn Requiem Mass on Wednesday, November 26, as preparations advance toward her final funeral rites.

The service, attended by former President Nana Akufo-Addo, former First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo, Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga, and several dignitaries, relatives and sympathisers, reflected the nation’s deep sense of loss following her passing on October 23, 2025. Hymns, prayers and scripture readings filled the church as mourners honoured her life and legacy.

Dressed in black, members of the Rawlings family led the ceremony and expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for the outpouring of support since her death was announced. The atmosphere remained reflective as attendees recounted her decades of public service and advocacy.

A state funeral for the late former First Lady will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Independence Square in Accra.
