Arsenal player Alexis Sanchez is demanding an unprecedented £400,000 a week in order to stay with the club.

The Chilean’s current contract earns him £275,000 a week but the player who has only a year left on his contract is demanding a vast increment.

There have been widespread reports of a possible reunion with former boss Pep Guardiola at Manchester City with the player believed to be pressing for the move.

Arsenal on the other hand are adamant on selling him to a Premier League rival with German giants believed to have been warded off by the figures involved.

Team mate Mesut Ozil has also reportedly demanded for £350,000 as he has a year left on his contract too.

The demands have proved to be the major reason why Arsene Wenger’s side have not been able to tie down two of their best players.

However their recent signing of Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon may give the pair a reason to stay at the club.
