15-year-old boy drowns in Zabzugu dam

A 15-year-old boy, identified as Abukari, has drowned in the Zabzugu Dam, with his body recovered on Sunday, July 20, after a two-day search.

The incident occurred on Saturday, July 19, when Abukari was returning home from the farm with his mother. Upon reaching the dam site, his mother reportedly asked him to fetch water.

However, in a tragic turn, he dived into the water, leading to his drowning. Despite efforts to locate him, his body was not found immediately.

A search operation, which included fishermen from nearby communities, continued for two days and ended with the discovery of his body late Sunday evening.
