We are in a Hip-hop epoch and Ghanaian artistes are no exception. There’s more focus on rap music in Ghana after M.anifest and Sarkodie staged a historical beef a few months ago.

Since then, Ghanaians have been comparing the two on any occasion. Fellow musicians have also involved themselves in the judgment. The likes of Medikal, Sister Derbie, Pop Skinny, Kaakie, and Samini have made their choices but yet to decide who owns the rap crown.

The latest on the judgment radar is a young and energetic rapper, Strongman. The rapper who has worked with top musicians and movie stars decided to put his spin on the matter during an interview on Pulse TV.

The “24/7 Market” rapper didn’t make an affirmative judgement but his statement about the duo’s potentials shows his love for one – and that is Sarkodie.

When asked which one he would vote for as the best Ghanaian rapper, Strongman tried to separate the two using achievement as the yardstick.

“M.anifest is rapping in English and Sarkodie has taken a BET Award so we can just take it from there,” he said adding that “language is not a barrier in music.”
