Just In: Kotoko part ways with Brazilian striker Michael Vinicius

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have parted ways with Brazilian striker Michael Vinicius barely three months after joining the club as a free agent in March.
The player has not been featuring for the club in Ghana Premier League matches since last playing for Kotoko against Ebusua Dwarfs.
He has scored two goals for the club in the Ghana Premier League since joining but has been absent in recent matches.
This was made public by the coach of the side Mariano Barreto after Kotoko’s 2-0 win over BYFA in the MTN FA Cup round of 64 tie.
“Michael Vinicius is no longer with us, the club will make an official announcement on his exit in the coming days” Barreto revealed.
Michael Vinicius Silva de Morais a forward signed a two and half year contract with the porcupine warriors but the deal has been terminated.
The 27 year old forward has in the past played for Swedish sides Linkoping City and Vasalunds IF.
He is the second Brazilian player to have joined Kumasi Asante Kotoko after Fabio Gama was acquired by the club at the beginning of the current season.
Michael is a Fluminese youth team product and made 11 appearances for the Brazilian giants scoring just once.
