Okudzeto Ablakwa commends Stephen Appiah for generosity to Volta Region flood victims

The Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has expressed his admiration for former Black Stars captain, Stephen Appiah, for his compassionate efforts in aiding flood victims in the Volta Region.

In his post, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa stated, “The legendary Stephen ‘Tornado’ Appiah is not only blessed with exceptionally talented feet; more importantly, he is an amazing human being with an awesome heart.

Thank you El Capitano, Wembley Construction & Nathaniel Attoh. North Tongu will never forget your kindness.”

The spillage of water from the Akosombo and Kpong dams has left numerous individuals without shelter in the region.

The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) in Ghana has reported that floods have displaced 31,000 people in Mepe and other parts of the Volta and Eastern Regions.

In response to this crisis, various organizations, individuals, and others have extended their support to those affected by the floods.

Former Ghana captain Stephen Appiah, in collaboration with Wembley Constructions, made substantial donations to assist the flood victims.

These contributions included food items, mattresses, and more. Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa received these items on behalf of the affected people.

Following the donation, the former Deputy Minister for Education took to Facebook to express his deep gratitude to the former Juventus star.

He emphasized the remarkable character of Stephen Appiah and the generosity displayed, assuring that the people of North Tongu will always remember this kind gesture.
