Twenty-year-old goalkeeper Paul Reverson has been named in Ghana’s senior squad for the first time, underlining the national team’s commitment to nurturing young talent.

Currently part of the Jong Ajax setup, Reverson has been developing within one of Europe’s most respected youth systems. Though still early in his career, he has gained experience with regular appearances for the reserve side and occasional involvement with Ajax’s senior squad.

Reverson has also featured for Ghana at youth level, including in international friendlies with the U20 team earlier in 2025. His inclusion in the senior squad signals confidence in his potential as a future option for the Black Stars.

While he is yet to fully establish himself at club level, the call-up offers a valuable opportunity to train alongside more experienced internationals and adapt to the demands of senior football.

Ghana will face Mexico later this month, with all three goalkeepers hoping to make a strong impression as the team begins a new era under Carlos Queiroz.
