Ghana Premier League: Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani wary of Hohoe United threats

Accra Hearts of Oak will usher in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League with a home clash against newly promoted Hohoe United, under the guidance of new coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani.
The Phobians enjoyed a productive pre-season, lifting both the Homowo Charity Cup and the Democracy Cup, and will be eager to translate that form into the league campaign.
Coach Dramani, however, expects a tough challenge from the Premier League newcomers.
“They [Hohoe United] have always been a very organized side. It’s a team that invested heavily in Division One, and they come in with formidability and fairness in terms of new recruits,” Dramani told Hearts media.
The former Black Queens coach has also made clear his ambition for the season:
“Our goal is to compete strongly in all competitions across the Ghanaian football structure. Going into the opener against Hohoe United, we need to package ourselves strongly, stay consistent, and be sustainable throughout the season.”
Hearts also impressed in the 2025 GHALCA Top Four, finishing level on points with league champions Bibiani Gold Stars at the Legon Sports Stadium in August.
