Prince Osei-Owusu wins Montréal player of the Month

Prince Osei-Owusu has been named Player of the Month for April by CF Montréal after a string of impressive performances in Major League Soccer.
The Ghanaian forward played a key role for the Canadian side during the month, contributing five direct goal involvements in four matches.
Owusu scored two goals and provided three assists as Montréal enjoyed an improved attacking run, with Owusu emerging as one of the club’s standout performers.
The award continues an impressive campaign for the 28-year-old, who has now registered six goals and five assists in 11 MLS appearances this season.
His consistent performances have strengthened his growing reputation both in North America and among Ghanaian football supporters.
Owusu earned his first call-up to the Black Stars in November 2025 for the Kirin Cup, marking an important milestone in his international career.
Since then, the forward has continued to push his case for a regular place in Ghana’s national team setup ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
With the Black Stars intensifying preparations for the tournament, Owusu’s form is likely to attract the attention of head coach Carlos Queiroz as competition for places in the squad increases.
The former Ghana youth international has become an influential figure at Montréal, combining sharp finishing with creative play in what is shaping up to be the most productive season of his career.
Supporters will now hope Owusu can carry his club form onto the international stage as Ghana look to build a competitive squad capable of making an impact at the World Cup.
