Arsenal loanee William Saliba says that he has picked up something about Ghana and Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey.

The Ghanaian was critical of his performance after their defeat to Manchester United where he revealed that he had not been at his best and promised to improve.

Since that honest interview, the midfielder has not looked back as he seem reborn churning out impressive performances for the Gunners.

The young Frenchman has also taken a leaf out of the books of Partey as he has given a frank assessment of his recent form for loan club Olympic Marseille.

Speaking about his recent displays, Saliba said: ”Since February I’ve been very average.

There’s no need to hide, I know that I need to work.” He added.

“I’m a young player, but it’s no excuse. I’m going to give everything to get back to my good level.”

The Frenchman had an excellent start to life at Marseille and has won the plaudit of many fans, however, his form has started to dip recently.

Partey suffered from the same performances earlier in the season, and was also vocally critical about his displays and Speaking after the defeat to Manchester United , he said: “The team is improving, each and everyone is doing our best.”

“For me, I have to keep on doing my best, keep trying, keep improving, try to come back to my best, because the team needs me, the team needs us.”

Since Partey’s return from the AFCON, Arsenal have not a match which he has played in.
