Ghana’s Black Queens will continue their preparations for the 2026 TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) when they face Côte d’Ivoire in an international friendly on Tuesday, 14 July.

The match will be played at the Stade Père Jégo in Casablanca, with kick-off scheduled for 17:00 GMT.

The friendly is the first in a planned series of preparatory matches for the Black Queens as they step up their build-up to the continental showpiece. Côte d’Ivoire will provide a stern test for Ghana’s squad as the coaching staff assess the team’s readiness ahead of the tournament.

The game will be played behind closed doors, allowing both sides to focus on tactical preparations and player evaluations away from public attention.

With the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations fast approaching, the encounter offers both teams an important opportunity to sharpen their systems, build match fitness, and fine-tune combinations before the competition gets underway.
