David Moyes tempted to include Mohammed Kudus in West Ham’s starting XI

West Ham United manager David Moyes has admitted his growing temptation to include Mohammed Kudus in the starting lineup for every Premier League game.
This revelation came after West Ham’s 4-1 defeat against Aston Villa at Villa Park on a Sunday afternoon.
The Hammers encountered their first significant setback of the season, facing a formidable Villa side that secured an 11th consecutive home league win with goals from Ollie Watkins, Leon Bailey, and a Douglas Luiz brace.
West Ham briefly threatened a second-half comeback after Jarrod Bowen’s deflected strike reduced the deficit to 2-1, but they struggled to trouble Emiliano Martinez in the Villa goal for most of the match.
Kudus, the talented Ghanaian midfielder, once again found himself on the bench ahead of the game.
While he has made a positive impact in cup competitions and during cameo appearances, including scoring an equalizer off the bench in a recent 2-2 draw with Newcastle just before the international break, Kudus is still waiting for his first Premier League start.
Moyes expressed his temptation, saying, “I’m tempted to start Kudus every game. But I have to be fair and say that the team has played quite well. Obviously, we’ve got a balance that we’re trying to find and get that right as well. Sometimes our balance has been very good and has delivered positive results. Now and then, it can also present challenges.”
Despite his limited game time in the Premier League, Kudus has showcased his skills in the Europa League, scoring two goals.
The 23-year-old has made nine appearances in all competitions for West Ham United.
West Ham is set to face Olympiacos in the Europa League and will then host Everton in the Premier League at the London Olympic Stadium in their upcoming fixtures.
