FA Cup: Hearts beat Liberty Professionals to advance to Round 32

Accra Hearts of Oak on Wednesday added less fancied Liberty Professionals side to their victims by beating them 3:0 at the Round 64 stage of the MTN FA Cup.

The Phobians scored at either halfs to progress to the next stage of the of competition.

A brace from Daniel Afryie Barnie and a goal from Obeng Junior ensured the Phobians maintain their unbeaten run in six matches.

The Phobians made their intensions known by presenting a strong starting team to battle the relegation-threatened side in the round of 64 clash.

Barnie put the Phobians in front in 18th minute of the first half when he broke away from the defence men of Liberty to connect to a pass from Issac Mensah.

Striker Obeng Junior added the second after in the 42nd minutes maintaining his composure to neatly strike with his right foot to the left side of Liberty goalkeeper.

Liberty, despite a fantastic display of football in midfield, could hardly threaten goalkeeper Richard Attah in post for Hearts of Oak as the trailed 2-0 at the end of the 45 minutes.

The Phobians returned into the second half with more

Daniel Afriyie Barnieh netted his second three minutes after recess to wrap up a convincing 3-0 win for the home team.
