Jordan Amissah targets success after joining Dundee United

Ghana goalkeeper Jordan Amissah says he is determined to make an impact at Dundee United after completing his move to the Scottish Premiership club.
The 24-year-old has joined United from Burton Albion on a two-year deal and has linked up with his new team-mates as pre-season preparations begin at the Calforth Construction Arena.
Amissah returns to Scotland after a previous spell with Ross County, where he believes he played the best football of his career so far.
“My time at Ross County was probably where I played my best football to date,” Amissah said.
“That’s why a move back north of the border really appealed to me, especially with United being such a big club.”
The Ghanaian goalkeeper began his career in Germany, coming through the youth systems at Schalke 04 and Borussia Dortmund before moving to England with Sheffield United.
He also gained experience in non-league football during loan spells at Guiseley and Spennymoor Town, before joining Burton Albion.
Amissah will now compete for a place in the Dundee United side as the club prepares for the new season.
He said he was looking forward to meeting supporters at Tannadice and hopes the campaign will bring success.
“I can’t wait to get going in pre-season and see all the fans at Tannadice in a few weeks’ time,” he said.
“Hopefully this season will be full of success.”
Dundee United see Amissah’s arrival as part of their efforts to strengthen the squad ahead of the new campaign.
