The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) will hold its national and regional executive elections today, Monday, June 30, 2025, at designated polling centres across the country.

According to the GJA Elections Committee, polls will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with voting strictly limited to eligible members who present a valid form of identification specifically a Ghana Card, Voter ID, or Passport featuring the journalist’s full name and photograph.

The committee confirmed that ballot counting, declaration of results, and official announcements will take place immediately after the close of polls at each location.

In a statement issued ahead of the elections, the committee urged members to disregard a fraudulent voters’ list circulating on social media, stressing that only the official voters’ register is valid for the process.

The elections will determine new leadership at both the national and regional levels, as the association prepares to usher in a fresh mandate for the next term.
