Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Akim Oda, has reacted to the unexpected passing of his special assistant, Mr. Maxewell Anti, also known as Kofi Nti.

According to the MP, Kofi Nti was everything to him.

“He was my everything,” Hon. Acquah wrote on his Facebook page.

Kofi Nti passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026, in a road accident on the Oda-Nkwanta road.

Nti was travelling in an NPP pickup vehicle alongside its driver at the time of the crash.

The group had been on the road monitoring ongoing NPP polling station elections in the area when their vehicle was involved in a head-on collision with another car.

In addition to serving as the MP’s assistant, Nti was the General Manager of Strong FM and Community FM, both of which are located in Oda.
