The Municipal Education Director for Nkwanta South, Jonathan Korsinah, revealed that insecurity in the area has disrupted academic activities, with some parents refusing to allow their children to camp ahead of the examinations.
He noted that many candidates have had limited preparation time after staying home for nearly three months without attending classes.
According to him, the situation has contributed to a decline in BECE performance compared to previous years, even as efforts were underway to improve results in the municipality.
Mr. Korsinah appealed to residents to embrace peace, warning that ongoing insecurity is undermining education and putting the future of children at risk.
